Open positions:

We are looking for an aspiring carpenter / labourer to join our team. You must have some training with power and hand tools, full-time availability, and a passion for improving your craft. Laureate Custom Contracting delivers exemplary work for all its clients, regardless of the job. As such, you will learn a variety of skills at the hands of our expert contractors and assist them on the job to gain a better understanding of your trade.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist jobsite team with preparation, open projects, and end of day cleanup
- Deepen your trade knowledge outside of work hours
- Knowledge of proper tool setup, maintenance, and basic repair
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong math skills
- Familiarity with common power and hand tools
- Experience in construction
- Physical strength and stamina
- Ability to take direction well
- Strong oral communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred but not Mandatory Assets
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Fall Arrest Certificate
- Knowledge of Joint Health and Safety Training Certification (JHSTC)
- Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
